He had the 400CID professionally rebuilt and the 4 speed freshened.
Although the engine block is not original numbers matching it was donated from a 70 GTO so its period correct.
The car was shown nothing but love and had to be pried from the hands of a teary eyed previous owner.
The build tag identifies this GTO is an original turquoise car (Currently red with black leather interior).
The car cruises nicely at 65MPH down the highway the mechanics are solid.
