HR & Finance Administrative Assistant

POSITION Overview: To provide support to the finance accounting department for an apparel manufacturing, wholesale and retail business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
o Pull daily cash balances from bank accounts
o Provide a daily cash dashboard
o Entering and reconciling goals into system
o Administrator for various items as required
o Maintain the physical files and electronic files for the Finance Department including HR department
o Back up support for payroll and other areas of the finance department
o Aid in researching chargebacks
o Aid in sales discrepancies as needed
o Interface with other departments as needed
o Assist finance and HR with administrative support
o Special projects as required

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and supervisors, customers and the general public
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply moderately complex mathematical equations, including statistical analysis, as applicable
REASONING ABILITY:
Excellent problem solving, and the ability to follow-through on tasks

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
