Job Description Project Engineer for Construction & Demolition
APS Project Engineer is a key role in All Phases construction and demolition team with a common goal of profitably delivering value above price for APSs customers. The project engineer works closely with APS project manager(s) to: gain new contracts & project task orders; provide resources required for successful project execution; identify opportunities to improve project performance; and successfully close-out projects in a timely manner.
For both subcontracted and self-performed projects the project engineer is responsible for:
Preparing Complete & Accurate Proposals and Submittals
Creating Effective Project Work Plans
Preparing & Coordinating Required Bonds & Certificates
Identifying, Qualifying & Contracting with Sub-Contractors & Other Key Vendors
Providing Technical Support for Change Orders
Developing Key Metrics & Evaluating Project Performance
Preparing Close-Out Documents
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified candidates are expected to have a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. This is an entry level position and the preferred candidate will have a strong desire to grow with a growth oriented company and is committed to qualifying for the FE/EIT exam and ultimately obtaining their PE certification.
Must be proficient in MS Project, MS Office.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
