POSITION SUMMARY The Production Bagger/Operator is responsible for efficiently and accurately operating bagging machinery within a produce manufacturing plant.
This role involves ensuring the proper packaging of various produce items, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
The Production Bagger/Operator plays a crucial role I the overall production process, contributing to the successful packaging and delivery of high-quality products to customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Familiarity with all applicable equipment and provide quality inspections on all related items.
Operate bagging machinery to package produce items according to established specifications.
Has working knowledge of the Matrix System and Yamato Scales.
Has the ability to make minor adjustments and repairs using appropriate tools.
Maintains the flow of production, removes defects from production line.
Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
Ensure all documentation is completed in a clear, legible and accurate format and completed with the required information I accordance with SOP's.
Ensure all SOP's are followed Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
Utilize continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Follow all required work safe practices including the wearing of PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.
Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular quality checks on packaged products to ensure they meet company standards.
Identify and address any deviations from quality specifications promptly Collaborate with quality control team to implement corrective actions as needed.
Follows Good Manufacturing Practices at all times Maintains a clean, sanitary and safe work area Packaging and Labeling:
Ensure proper labeling and packaging of produce items in accordance with company guidelines Weigh and measure products to meet specified weight requirements Coordinate with packaging team to maintain an efficient flow of products through the production line QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work in a wet and cold environment Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, second shift, and possible weekends and holidays Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Must be able to stand, walk, push or pull a majority of the day 1-2 years of experience with the Matrix System and Yamato Scales Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divie in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Skill and ability to manage multiple/parallel projects and meet deadlines SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS This position may require extended periods of standing, sitting, as well as some repetitive movements and repetitive lifting of minimal weight.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
