Continuous JOB DESCRIPTION This is professional administrative and management work directing all activities of the Marketing section, including customer service and public outreach.
An employee in a position allocated to this class works closely with the Executive Director and the Director of Support Services.
This employee is directly responsible for the marketing functions of the organization and the day-to-day operation and management of customer service.
This employee will be responsible for developing marketing, communications, and customer service strategies for the organization to maintain and grow ridership, and highlight Palm Tran as a contributor to community success and a good steward of public funds.
Supports and conveys Palm Tran's message for marketing and communications initiatives, targets revenue and ridership development programs.
Also responsible for the enhancement and effectiveness of the press and publicity function, serves as the media spokesperson for the organization, ensures brand message is consistent, timely, and relevant.
Work will also include developing and implementing long-term strategic goals ensuring consistency with the mission and strategic plan of the organization.
Work is performed under the general direction of the Executive Leadership team and is reviewed through conferences, reports and evaluation of results obtained.
QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, Public Administration or related field; five (5) years of progressively responsible professional management level experience in marketing and communications or public relations; or an equivalent combination of related training and experience sufficient to carry out the duties of the position.
Valid driver's license.
